Ashford (Kent) Golf Club

The Club

Mike Owen, Club Captain

Ashford Golf Club has a history stretching back over 100 years, 80 of them at its current location on Sandyhurst Lane. We are well established, both in terms of the age of the club and the course itself.

The Club has a number of competitions over the course of the year. There is also a winter four ball league that presents an ideal opportunity for some 'friendly' four ball play.

Other competitions include the Captain/Professional Challenge where members get the opportunity to try and beat the Captain and the Professional (the prize for winning is a meal at the end of the year) and also there is the 'Four Nations', a competition involving teams (loosely sometimes!!) from England, Scotland, Wales and Ireland. For those members wishing to just turn up and play there is always someone looking for a game and it won't take very long for new members to settle in.

The Clubhouse provides an important social role in the life of the Club and social events are run throughout the year to try and cater for everyone's tastes. Events can range from Cameo Operas through Burn's Night Suppers to an Irish Ceildh night but the highlight of the social year is the annual Ball.

There are currently around 650 members in total and in this area of the website you can get further information on the Ladies, Veterans and Junior sections.
