Bar Manager Vacancy

Ashford (Kent) Golf Club was established in 1903. It is a well respected private Members Club with approximately 600 Members. The course is a first class parkland course and this year the Club is hosting two County Competitions. The Club upholds the traditions of Golf whilst being aware of the need to operate in the twenty first century.

We are seeking to appoint a Bar Manager who has the relevant knowledge and experience to fill the post which is currently vacant.

We are inviting applicants who can demonstrate that they have the following core competencies:

To manage the Club 2000 electronic till and daily banking sheets for the bar
To maintain a clean and well presented bar area.
The ability to manage bar staff, contractors and suppliers in a cost effective manner.
Good communication, diplomacy, and motivation skills.
To maintain and manage stock levels, and record any wastage.
To ensure the building is securely locked and the alarm system is set at the close of business.
Knowledge of cleaning beer lines.
A flexible approach to working hours.
Smart appearance and good personality.
To meet and greet members & visitors in a professional and welcoming manner.
Work alongside all other staff, and the caterer, encouraging team work at all times.
